Meet The Designer

Hello, I’m Kirsty Jackson, owner of Jackson Interior Design - the product of my lifelong obsession with all things unique, stylish and functional for the home.

As a creative child my happy place was painting, drawing and making things (I even have a Blue Peter badge to prove it!), endlessly rearranging my bedroom, and helping my dad with DIY. However I made ‘sensible’ choices on leaving school and went to University to get a ‘proper degree’ which led me down a rather different path …

Following an early career in retail management for Marks & Spencer, which included designing store layouts and merchandising, I moved into Financial Services and worked in various senior leadership roles responsible for delivering multi-million pound change programmes. This was professionally rewarding, but a creative desert, so during these years house renovation and interior design became my outlet. I gained extensive experience renovating multiple period properties; refurbing city centre apartments, extending houses, and transforming new builds for myself, family and friends. I also gained a Diploma in Professional Interior Design with the National Design Academy and became proficient in CAD, Sketchup and Enscape.

An opportunity arose to take redundancy due to the sale of the business I worked for, and I decided to have a bit of a break to recharge the batteries, then go back to the corporate world … However, the queue of family and friends asking me to design their interiors whilst I had some time on my hands got me thinking, and Jackson Interior Design was born.

My lifelong passion for interior design now sits seamlessly alongside my extensive professional project management skills (I am Prince2 qualified). If you choose Jackson Interior Design you’re in very capable hands.
