Extended Victorian Farmhouse

Our brief was for a kitchen-diner design sympathetic to this Victorian farmhouse, linking seamlessly to a new family room extension.

We started with spatial planning, working with the architect to refine the extension plan, suggesting more and better positioned windows to bring light into the long and relatively narrow room.

For the kitchen, we selected the supplier and liaised with them to specify layout, colour, finishes and standout items such as the steel butlers sink that brings an unusual modern touch to this traditional shaker design.

By working closely with the builders on-site we were also able to suggest design features such as the recessed shelving and widening the opening into the extension to enhance the feeling of space.

We provided electrical and lighting plans, designed and commissioned bespoke joinery for the living area, and sourced all furniture and soft furnishings, incorporating the clients artwork and photography into the design.
